Family& Partner Visas

Family & Partner Visas

Spouse & Civil Partner Visa For people married to, or in a civil partnership with, a British citizen, a person with settled status or a refugee. The sponsor must normally meet the £29,000 minimum income requirement, but salary is not the only way, savings, pensions, self-employment income and certain exemptions (for example where the sponsor receives specified disability or carer benefits) can all count. Couples must also prove a genuine relationship, adequate accommodation and English language ability. We advise and apply for you: we work out which combination of income and savings meets the threshold, and present your relationship evidence so it answers the caseworker’s questions before they are asked.

Unmarried Partner Visa Not married? You can still qualify if you have lived together in a relationship akin to marriage for at least two years. The difficulty is proof: two years of cohabitation must be shown through official correspondence at the same address, and gaps are a common reason for refusal. We advise and apply for you: we build a month-by-month cohabitation timeline from tenancy, bank, council and utility records and fill any gaps with acceptable alternative evidence.

Fiancé(e) & Proposed Civil Partner Visa For couples who plan to marry or form a civil partnership in the UK within six months of arrival. Once married, you switch to a spouse visa without leaving the UK. You cannot work on this visa, so timing the wedding and the switch matters. We advise and apply for you: we prepare the fiancé(e) application, help with wedding-planning evidence, and then handle the in-country switch to the partner route.

Parent of a British or Settled Child For a parent who has sole responsibility for, or direct access to, a child who is British, settled or has lived in the UK for seven years. The relationship with the child, not with the other parent, is the basis of the application even where the parents are separated.

Child & Dependant Visas For children joining a parent who is British, settled or in the UK on a work, study or other visa. The requirements differ depending on the parent’s route, and sole-responsibility rules apply when only one parent lives in the UK.

Adult Dependent Relative Visa For a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, son or daughter aged 18 or over who needs long-term personal care because of age, illness or disability and where that care is not available or affordable in their home country. Get right medical and care-cost evidence and prepare detailed legal submissions.
